Dana Peak 27.5 Hard Tail

  In our quest to create the best performing XC hard tail, we re-imagined the Dana Peak and brought in some of the latest proven technology to provide the fastest and most maneuverable frame we could. The new Dana Peak capitalizes on the 27.5" wheel movement enabling us to run shorter chain stays (425mm across all three sizes) and anything from 1.95" to 2.35/5 tires by incorporating the BOOST standard.

  So why BOOST on a hard tail? Simple - control, predictability and durability. With the wider rear axle width (148mm x 12mm axles), BOOST opened up options in frame design that were simply not there before. Along with the increased tire clearance and shorter seat stays, the Dana Peak enables you to run both wider width rims that traditionally used in legacy framesets as well as stronger wheels overall using flanges spaced farther apart. When tied to a BOOST compatible fork, the new Dana Peak is the fastest and most predictably handling hard tail we've offered.

  Along with the BOOST geometry, we've also embraced leave spring concept seat stays to absorb shock more better. Tied to larger volume tires, this feature helps you hold a line much better on more rugged terrain - something we saw a demand for when we refined the Dana Peak riding in south central Pennsylvania and other east coast locals. 

  Like it's predecessor's the latest Dana Peak is spec'd for a 31.6 seat post, utilizes internal cabling for a smooth unencumbered look runs an industry standard BSA 73 threaded bottom bracket (say good bye to creaking!) and a tapered 1.125" to 1.5" head tube. The new Dana Peak is offered in 16", 18" and 20" framesets and is optimized for 1x (one by) drive trains. The rear end is 148mm and utilizes a 12mm thru-axle.
