Introducing the Carolina Precision Components 8.8 Time Trial/Tri Clincher Wheelset

The Carolina 8.8 wheel system utilizes our 888mm deep 100% Toray T700 low void construction carbon fiber rim featuring off-set drilling and reinforced valve and external nipple holes. The wheels center on our new ABEC-3 bearing low profile hub system and is laced with Aero CN spokes - stronger at this length then our traditional CX-Xrays and laced to 14mm alloy nipples. The front wheel uses a 20 hole radial while the rear utilizes a 2 cross 24 hole pattern to ensure both durability and speed.

This wheel was developed for those who need the speed of a deep dish solid wheel along with the serviceability associated with the use of open tubulars and clincher tires. An absolute perfect combination for time trialing and triathalons. A titanium quick release is included The hubs and quick releases are CNC machined. The quick release features a titanium shaft and textured handles for durability and ease of use.
