The Lekki8 architecture optimizes the advantages of carbon fiber, 7075 aluminum and grade 5 titanium for a supremely lightweight road brake. It  features a single pivot design with a top mounted quick release. It also has a much improved ease of setup and accommodation of the largest rims for road bicycles.

With over 15 years of development in caliper brakes under their belts, Ciamillo created a brake that sums up perfectly all the features they have become known for to offer a forward-thinking brake that enables riders to enjoy the largest variety of tire and rim combinations available on the lightest weight brake with the highest levels of performance.  Looking closely, the Lekki-8 is clearly a masterpiece of engineering featuring a new quick release that is embedded between carbon panels, a machined 7075-5 aluminum core offering smoother mechanical action than prior generations of brakes, and a new center bolt that resists the uneven torque exerts from variances in today's carbon rim surfaces.  WIth the Lekki 8 ultra there is also no fear of galvanic corrosion associated with many carbon-aluminum products as each aluminum surface is anodized so it's non-conductive. As for epoxy use on this brake - there is none. Each sub-component is engineered specifically to fulfill both mechanical action and structural purposes leaving subassemblies to be nested within the action of each other, or secured using screws and a non-epoxy bonding paste.

While the visuals of this brake are stunning and have called upon Ciamillo's long-held industrial look, what should not be overlooked is that the "CdA" or aerodynamic slipperiness of the brake has also been increased over earlier generation Ciamillos and competitors such as eeBrake and THM. Ciamillo has not only produced a lighter caliper but smaller, more compact and yet more capable caliper.
