Tir na nOg

Born of the necessity to provide a bold and audacious frame capable of negotiating American Criteriums at 30+ mph, yet allowing for a four- hour training ride, the Tir na nOg race frame is our premier race bike. Although we're a rather new company, we're long on racing tradition and draw on our experiences. When we set out to create our frame, we researched heavily the materials that were available and what we thought was the ideal geometry. In the end, we went with an aggressive geometry that is conservative enough that it will not leave you feeling "squirrely" on a 50 mph descent or a 15 mph cool-down leg of a fast training ride.

Through a meticulous design process, working in concert with our engineering department, we've brought our frames weight down to between 995 and 1200 grams (depending on size and model) without sacrificing rigidity or ride quality. Our frames are constructed of both High Modulus and Ultra-High Modulus Carbon Fibers and feature a beautiful 12K weave that provides a compact wrap to lock in the strengths of a monocoque HMCF design.

The mainstay of our fleet of racing bikes. The Tir na nOg is a no-holds-barred racing machine featuring a fast squared geometry, full high modulus carbon frame featuring tiered chain stays, a 50mm downtube and a 350 gram fork. The frame can simply be defined as fast!

The base line Tir na nOg features a blend of high modulus Toray carbon fibers in a proprietary mixture and weighs in at approximately 1180 grams for the medium-sized frame. This frame was designed for the typical Category II or III U.S. racer who chooses to excel in criteriums and shorter road races of 65 to 100 miles. We took the proven geometry of our Tir na nOg frame, shaved about 150 grams off, and reinforced the bottom bracket to produce a no-holds- barred sprinting and climbing machine. Sure, more expensive, but if you're throwing down at 40 mph in a sprint, you'll be glad you're on one of these frames.

This racing package links our Tir na nOG or Tir na nOg UHM frames to SRAM's mainstay racing group, Force. It is furnished with a fast set of Easton EA90 SL racing wheels, the same found on our top of the line models. We finish it off with a healthy dose of Easton EA90 items, a carbon headset and a set of Maxxis tires.

This is our bread and butter bike. Built to carry entry level racers and regional champions, the Tir na nOg Rival offers performance for a price that cannot be matched. We use the same frame, forks, and headsets as found on our other models and bring down the cost by utilizing Easton's EA70 champion line of equipment.
